Venable partner and former Michigan Congressman Bart Stupak penned an op-ed in the November 4, 2012 issue of Politico calling for a “grand bargain” between Democrats and Republicans. The op-ed touches on requirements for both parties to address while focusing on policies related to the national debt and energy.
“I am hoping that after the election, both sides can come together and address the very critical issues we face. I encourage our leaders to put partisan politics behind and strike a ‘grand bargain’ to address our national debt and establish an energy policy for the future. The longer we wait, the fewer options we will have to address this critical situation,” Stupak wrote.
